The location metadata is correct in Google Photos. However, when I download pictures to my Windows 10 PC, there is no location metadata available at all. The metadata shown on the ‘details’ tab of the file properties does not have the “GPS” section with location that a Microsoft support person referenced in another thread. The Microsoft Photos app does not show a location in ‘file info’, which is not surprising as the data is not present.

It does not appear that Windows 10 has the ability to store photo location since there is no field for it in the file properties. If there is a place to find the location metadata, or a workaround that will allow batch editing to add location metadata, please advise. According to your description, I knew that your photos downloaded from Google Drive did not contain location metadata.
