Thanks – did that and am at least now getting a dialogue box in Word that lets me click Print, but nothing happens. Unable to print from browser using Edge or Office programmes version. If I switch to internet explorer, it allows me to go through all the steps of printing, but nothing prints, which is what happens in Office too. Only in Edge does the “We couldn’t reach this printer..! For Office and IE I’m even getting a printer icon appear for a while, like it is actually printing! I have a Lexmark x printer and had the same problems that everyone else is having.

I used what others have been saying to help correct my problems. Here’s basically what I did. Downloaded and saved the latest install for the x cjsEN. Ran the uninstall for the Lexmark series using the “Programs and Features” found in Control Panel. Rechecked both “Devices and Printers” and “Programs and Features”, making sure there were no references to Lexmark printers at all. If there are references remove them. I used the cleanup utilities CCcleaner and I also ran my System Mechanic Pro their latest versions to clean things out of my computer and Windows Registry which both utilities found references to Lexmark printers and deleted those references.

You should backup the Windows Registry before doing the cleanup; just in case. Right click cjsEN. Read and follow the instructions given by this install. DO NOT plug in and then power on the printer until the install tells you to. Your system may restart again while rebooting. This is normal and OK. If the Lexmark printer is the default it will be hi-lighted.
